- The Blind Boys of Alabama, featuring Clarence
Fountain: African-American gospel music with
roots in Alabama.
- Blue Highway: Bluegrass from Gallatin,
Tennessee.
- Rosyln Bresnick-Perry: New York
City-based Jewish story-teller born in Byelorussia.
- Cherish the Ladies: An all-women's
ensemble of traditional Irish musicians and dancers from
along the East Coast.
- The Corndrinkers: Dayton-based old-time
string band.
- The Bruce Daigrepont Cajun Band: Cajun
music from New Orleans.
- The Dry Branch Fire Squad: Traditional
bluegrass band based in the Dayton area.
- Gaupasa and the Oinkari Basque Dancers:
Basque music and dance ensemble from Boise, Idaho.
- Samba Ngo: Zairian composer, singer,
guitarist, percussionist and player of the likembe
thumb piano, now based in Santa Cruz, Calif.
- The Ohio Jazz Masters: Guitarist Cal
Collins of Cincinnati, Ohio, organist Hank Marr of
Columbus, Ohio, alto saxophonist Norris Turney of Dayton
and drummer Jim Rupp of Columbus are veterans of some of
Jazz's best ensembles.
- Ann Peebles: Memphis, Tennessee soul
singer who recorded Part Time Love and I
Can't Stand the Rain.
- The Richens-Timm Academy of Irish Dance:
Irish dancers from Columbus, Ohio, Indianapolis, Indiana
and Dayton.
- Gayle Ross: Cherokee tradition
storyteller from Fredericksburg, Texas.
- Sabor Latino: a 15-member salsa and
merengue orchestra from Youngstown, Ohio.
- Tang Liangxing: New York City-based
master of the Chicago pipa, a fretted instrument
related to Western lutes and guitars.
- Valahia with George Trimbitas:
Traditional music from the Transylvania mountain region
of Romania.
- Don Walser and the Pure Texas Band:
Classic honky-tonk, Texas swing and country-western from
Austin, Texas.
- Zivili: From Columbus, Ohio comes the
only ensemble in the world devoted exclusively to the
dance, music, song and costume of several Southern Slavic
and European nations.
