This undertaking would have been virtually impossible without the cooperation of numerous federal and state agencies, businesses, veterans groups and individual citizens working together to accomplish our goal-to honor a Kentucky veteran.
The members of the Anna Mac Clarke Memorial Fund Committee thought it imperative that we do everything within our power to insure that not only Anderson countians, but the citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, learn the role that African Americans played during World War II. Funding for this effort has been provided by the Kentucky African American Heritage Commission.
