• Unable to determine the age of Thomas as listed on the Census.

• Oral history states that Rebecca was the sister of Jerry, London, Andrew and Sidney Montgomery.

• Phillis Montgomery was most likely the mother of Thomas' previous wife.

• It is unknown whether Ellen Richardson and Sara Marshall were the daughters of Thomas' first wife, especially Sara Marshall. Errors could have been made by the enumerator as to the relationship.

• The parents of Sam and Linnis Montgomery are unknown.

• Further research is needed.
